On November 11, the AAPSS, in partnership with New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service and Johns Hopkins University’s Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, will host a panel discussion based on the papers and themes of a forthcoming volume of The ANNALS of the AAPSS. The panel, which includes all three special editors of the volume, will explore how notions of citizenship and belonging in America have changed over repeated periods of turmoil and struggle, as well as the state of the citizenship ideal today in the wake of early November’s election results.
This is an event of the AAPSS’s Moynihan Prize initiative, and a reception will follow the panel. Please RSVP before Sunday, November 8. The ANNALS volume, tentatively titled Citizenship and Belonging in America: Taking Stock at 250, is expected to publish in early 2027.
November 11th, 2026 at 4:00pm at NYU Wagner School of Public Service (105 E 17th Street, New York, NY 10003)
