Invite: ABA Forum Construction Claims Summit in Boston

Posted on
The ABA Forum on Construction Law is hosting its 2026 Fall Conference at The Westin Copley Place in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 21-23, 2026. Entitled “Construction Claims Summit: Issues Driving Today’s Construction Disputes,” the conference will advance the Forum’s mission of Building the Best Construction Lawyers. Attendees will learn from an experienced faculty of construction lawyers, consultants, claims professionals, and industry leaders who have handled some of the most challenging issues in today’s construction disputes, including delays, defective work, supply chain disruption and cost escalation, claims against design professionals, differing site conditions, default terminations, fraud and bad faith, and ethical issues in working with experts.

Boston provides the perfect setting for this conversation: a historic city built on ambitious public works, from the reclaimed Back Bay surrounding the conference hotel to the Big Dig, one of the most iconic megaprojects in modern American construction and the subject of a featured plenary on mega delay claims.

Beyond formal programming, the Fall Conference will offer meaningful opportunities to connect with colleagues, speakers, sponsors, and Forum leadership through receptions, division lunches, the first-time attendees’ reception, the Women’s Networking Reception, the Welcome Reception, guest/spouse events, and optional Boston tours.

The conference will begin on Wednesday, October 21 with a practicum entitled “The Business of Construction Law: Leadership, Technology, and Growth in a Changing Legal Marketplace,” featuring Gene Commander, Stephanie Shivar, Meranda Vieyra, and Morris Tabush. The practicum will address leadership, strategy, succession planning, marketing and business development, and the thoughtful adoption of technology and artificial intelligence in construction law practices.
