Center for Human Rights & Global Justice | 2026–27 Programs & Opportunities

Posted on

Dear NYU Law Students,

Welcome to the 2026–27 academic year!

The Center for Human Rights and Global Justice looks forward to offering several ways for students to engage with our work throughout the year. Our student programming this academic year will be limited to the International Law and Human Rights Fellowship. Research assistant positions supporting the Center’s programs and initiatives will be posted as opportunities arise.

The Center will also host a series of public events throughout the year, including the day-long COMPASS conference focused on artificial intelligence, technology, and society.

Save the date!

Finding Direction in AI Law and Policy

The conference will feature a keynote conversation with Jill Lepore, Pulitzer Prize winner and Harvard professor, who will discuss her forthcoming book The Rise and Fall of the Artificial State.

We highly encourage you to subscribe to the Center’s updates. It’s the easiest way to receive notifications about our own programming as well as opportunities for engagement, internships, and fellowships offered by other NYU units, and non-NYU organizations.

You can find current opportunities and additional information on our student webpage. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at chrgj@nyu.edu.

We wish you a wonderful academic year and look forward to connecting with you.

Warmly,

The Executive Team at the
Center for Human Rights and Global Justice
