The Meltzer Center for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging seeks applications from NYU Law students for research assistant positions to commence in Spring 2027. The Center’s mission is to advance thought leadership on diversity, inclusion, and belonging; support the Law School community; and share knowledge with external organizations.
Research assistants will work for academic credit according to Law School requirements (45 hours for 1 credit or 90 hours for 2 credits) under the supervision of faculty director Professor Kenji Yoshino and executive director David Glasgow. Topics will be assigned early in the semester in consultation with students on the research team, and will likely relate to topics such as:
- Legal and governance issues concerning the use of artificial intelligence tools in employment settings;
- Navigating the legal and regulatory landscape for inclusion work, such as anti-DEI litigation and the actions of the current federal administration; and
- Lawful, research-backed strategies that organizations can adopt to advance inclusion in the current legal, political, and cultural environment.
