Prof. Ehab Elsonbaty & Prof. Sinem Sonmez are seeking teaching assistants for their Fall 2026 Islamic Finance course (LAW-LW.12236) at NYU. Research Assistant – Professor Jesse Gero, Acting Director of the International Transactions Clinic (2026-2027) (2Ls, 3Ls, LLMs)

Professor Gero seeks to hire a 2L, 3L, or LLM student to assist with research projects relating to nature-based solutions and conservation finance, including debt swaps and project finance for permanence. Social or environmental science research experience is preferred. Hours are negotiable, but those interested should be willing to work for an average of 5 hours per week, starting in September and continuing through mid-January or possibly the end of the academic year. Availability to continue assisting (remotely) during the months of December and January is preferred. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Law, the hourly base salary at the NYU School of Law for student employment positions is $17.00 per hour for undergraduate and graduate students.
