In 2024, the ABA passed a resolution recognizing a federal Equal Rights Amendment and urging government actors and the legal community to take steps to implement the ERA across the country. While we have seen promising progress, particularly at the state level, there is still much work to be done. On Tuesday, April 21, at 1 PM, Marcy Syms Equality Initiative Director Ting Ting Cheng and Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Center Legal Fellow Kelsey Kinoshita are hosting a Law Student ABA Caucus where attendees will discuss ideas and strategies for ERA implementation. The Marcy Syms Equality Initiative hopes to support a student-authored ABA Recommendation in the future and would love to have you be a part of it.
