Many states offer a discounted rate to students who apply for the bar exam during their first and second year of law school. The following states have advertised discounted rates to those who apply early:

If you are certain that you will be taking the bar exam in one of these states after graduation, you may want to apply early to take advantage of the discounted rates. Because filing deadlines and discounts vary by state, you should read the individual State Association information to obtain details on application fees, discounts and deadlines.
