Public Interest Students: Opportunity to Receive a Free Bar Prep Course

Posted on

Attention 3L students! As you begin your final year at NYU Law, we want to share an opportunity with you. The Bar Prep Matching Program, facilitated this year by the Public Interest Law Center (PILC), aims to enhance financial accessibility to bar preparation materials for students pursuing public interest careers.

Here’s how it works: BARBRI and Themis offer free bar prep courses to public interest students who are paired with firm-bound, private sector students. If you’re matched with a firm-bound student, you will receive a bar prep course at no cost, covered by BARBRI or Themis.

To take advantage of this opportunity:

  • Fill out this short form to express your interest.
  • Matching is on a first-come, first-served basis, and we cannot guarantee a match for every public interest student.
  • Please note: While the course itself is free, there may still be shipping and/or registration fees that vary.
  • Once matched, you will receive instructions on how to claim your course. This program provides a great way to connect with fellow students to prepare for the Bar Exam, though no extended interaction is required.

For more details or if you have any questions, please reach out to the PILC office at pilc.info@nyu.edu.
