Nov. 5: The Role of the Municipal Government Lawyer: A Conversation with NYC Corporation Counsel Steven Banks ’78 and Other City Lawyers

Posted on

Please join us for a conversation with Corporation Counsel Steven Banks ’78 and three other City attorneys who are Law School alumni and who work in various practice areas, including the Legal Counsel, Administrative Law & Regulatory Enforcement, and Commercial Real Estate Divisions. Mr. Banks will share a firsthand account of the Corporation Counsel’s vision for the Law Department and lawyering in City government. The discussion will also afford students a unique opportunity to learn about the breadth of the Law Department’s practice, and to connect with alumni who have built rewarding careers in municipal law and learn about their career trajectories and current work. There will be time for conversations with Office representatives after the formal presentation.

Light lunch will be available.

An RSVP is required for all PILC events. The Public Interest Law Center provides reasonable accommodations to all students requesting them. If possible, requests for accommodations for events and services should be submitted at least two weeks before the date of the accommodation need.
