Graduating NYU Law JD students are invited to apply for the NYU PILC Fellowship with a public interest host organization in the United States or abroad. The fellowship is for one year and begins in the fall following graduation. As of 2025, the fellowship provides a stipend of $50,000.
Applicants must propose a legal project that they will execute at their host organization. The project does not need to be novel, but it should address a specific issue area of critical need on which their work with the organization will focus.
The application deadline for the 2025 NYU PILC Fellowship is Monday, March 3, 2025, 3:00 p.m. Applicants should carefully review the PILC fellowship application instructions and FAQS, and are strongly encouraged to review PILC’s project fellowship guidance in preparing their applications.
