The Public Interest Law Center invites you to sign up for a talk with KC Michaels (JD ’12), Legal Advisor, Office of Legal Counsel, International Energy Agency (IEA), during which he will share his overall experience working with the IEA and share his insights on pursuing a career in international law. KC will also discuss career opportunities with the IEA, including the NYU-sponsored International Finance and Development Fellowships.

K.C. Michaels is a senior lawyer in the International Energy Agency’s Office of Legal Counsel. In this role, he is responsible for policy and regulatory analysis on fossil fuel methane emissions and critical minerals, including authoring publications and facilitating policy dialogue among governments. K.C. also provides legal support for IEA activities related to technology and innovation and advises on issues related to public international law, international institutions, and governance. Prior to joining the IEA, he worked as a lawyer for the U.S. Department of Energy. K.C. holds a law degree (J.D.) from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and policy from the University of Maryland.
