The deadline for NYU Law students to apply for the two-year post-grad New York State Excelsior Service Fellowship has been extended to Monday, February 17, 2025. The New York State Excelsior Service Fellowship Program is a funded two‐year fellowship program, which offers talented 3Ls hands on training and experience in New York State government. Excelsior Fellows work full time at host executive‐branch agencies, advancing the operational aspects of large policy initiatives, and JD fellows will be placed in a legal role.
Please see the attached flyer as well NYU Law NYS Excelsior Fellowship Application Information page and our page on How to Apply. NYU Law expects to select its nominees no later than Monday, Feb. 24. Students who have been offer a nomination spot will need to accept or reject their offer to be nominated by NYU shortly thereafter so that NYU Law can share its nominees with the State by 5pm on Friday, Feb. 28. We hope that the State will release the list of likely NYS placements by the last week of February before our nominations are due to the State.
