Apr. 12: Training on Suppression Law and Planning for Your Summer in Public Defense

Working in public defense this summer?  During the first 90 minutes of this session, Professor Hertz will share a summary of the federal and state constitutional doctrines governing suppression of tangible evidence, confessions, and identification testimony. The final 30 minutes of the session will be dedicated to tips on how to get the most out of a PD summer internship.

 

Please feel free to come for the duration of the event or for the portion that is of interest to you. Anyone doing an internship in public defense (including appellate, family, capital, and federal) is welcome and encouraged to attend!
