Courses: International Tax Policy Seminar; Tax Treaties
Details: The selected research assistant will contribute to the research project “Assessment of the Compatibility of the Undertaxed Profits Rule (UTPR)”. This project focuses on evaluating the compatibility of the UTPR, introduced under the Global Tax Deal, with the Charter of the European Union and the European Convention on Human Rights. Context: The Free American Enterprise Chamber of Commerce has filed a lawsuit against the UTPR at the Belgium Constitutional Court, with expectations that the Court may refer the case to the European Court of Justice.  Objective: To understand the lawsuit and provide the public with an objective, unbiased analysis of its implications, particularly for US corporate taxpayers.
