Current 2Ls (JD 2026) who plan to apply for post-graduation judicial clerkship positions this June must participate in the Judicial Clerkship Recommendation Matching program in order to obtain recommendation letters from NYU Law professors (full-time, lawyering, adjuncts, visitors, etc.).
IMPORTANT DATES:
Friday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m.: “bidding” for recommendation letters opens on CSM. Go to the OCI module, select “Clerkship Recommendation Match for JD 2026 Students” from the Session drop-down. In order to submit a successful bid, you must “rank” the professor and attach a resume and unofficial transcript to the bid.
Tuesday, April 8 by 5:00 p.m.: “bidding” for recommendation letters closes.
Tuesday, April 22: results of the match will be released to students; begin posting your DRAFT writing sample and recommenders questionnaire to your matched recommenders.
Thursday, April 24 by 5:00 p.m.: deadline to post your DRAFT writing sample and recommenders questionnaire to your matched recommenders.
Thursday, April 24 by 5:00 p.m.: deadline to decline a matched recommender.
