Position Summary:
The Tax Law Center at the New York University School of Law is seeking one or more part-time legal Research Assistant(s) to assist staff and Faculty Director(s) with legal research and writing and operations tasks during the Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 semester. The Research Assistant(s) will be part of a collegial and inclusive team building a new public interest effort in tax.
This position would suit a student who has a strong interest in tax and a commitment to the Tax Law Center’s mission, and who is seeking to gain experience across a wide range of tax subject matters and types of research.
Location
Remote, as Tax Law Center staff are based across the East Coast. If desired, we can provide a workstation on NYU’s campus in New York.

RA for Professor Jesse Gero | Deadline: until position is filled
Compensation: $16.50/hour
Position Summary: Professor Gero seeks to hire a 2L, 3L, or LLM student to assist with research projects relating to debt conversions (sometimes also called debt-for-development or debt-for-nature swaps). Full professional or greater proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred. Those interested should be willing to work for an average of 10 hours per week, starting in September and continuing through mid-January or possibly the end of the academic year. Availability to continue assisting (remotely) during the months of December and January is preferred.
