International Data Law Association: IDLF Fellowship for 2Ls – April 1 Deadline

IDLA is pleased to announce the IDLF Fellowship, which will be awarded to a second-year student attending an accredited law school program and who has a demonstrated commitment to cross-border data law. The Fellowship provides an excellent opportunity for the student to learn from the one of the leading global events on international data law and network with internationally recognized subject matter experts.

 

The fellow will be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses to attend the 2025 IDLF Conference in Berlin (up to $2,500) and the IDLA will grant a waiver of the $995 conference fee. The selected participant must attend the 2025 IDLF Conference in its entirety to qualify for reimbursement.

 

Interested law students who will have finished their 2L year by July 2025 may apply by sending their application to info@IDLF.org by 1 April 2025 or via the application portal at www.idlf.com. The initial application consists of the applicant’s curriculum vitae and an essay of 500 words or less answering the following questions:

  • Why are you interested in cross-border data law?
  • Why are you interested in cross-border data law?
  • What do you hope to accomplish by attending IDLF 2025 in Berlin?

 

Finalists will be interviewed by members of the IDLF Board prior to the selection of the IDLF Fellowship winner and runner-up. The winning Fellow is responsible for obtaining and presenting all necessary documents to travel to Germany, including but not limited to, a valid passport, visa, and vaccination status where applicable. Applicants will be notified of their status by 1 May 2025.
