Deadline: August 15 – NYC Bar | New Lawyer Institute – NYU Law LLM Student Ambassador

Posted on

Our Student Ambassador Program marks its 12th anniversary this year! We invite all New Lawyer Institute sponsoring law schools to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.

This program is designed to accommodate students in New York schools and outside — with many initiatives offered virtually and with students’ busy schedules in mind. (Watch this short video for commentary from one of our current ambassadors.)

The student ambassadors represent the New York City Bar Association by:

  1. Communicating membership benefits to students and their school’s career team
  2. Promoting relevant membership events and participating when available
  3. Facilitating increased student sign-ups and engagement
  4. Representing the City Bar at on-campus events and at the City Bar site, when available

This leadership role allows student ambassadors to gain visibility within the Association and develop a strong professional network — all while still being a student!

Schools may appoint up to two students. There is only one requirement for the appointed students:

  • Must be a LLM student enrolled at NYU Law School

The orientation for student ambassadors will take place in early August.

LLM Students interested in being nominated should contact Moon Kim, Director of Counseling and Career Development, at moon.kim@nyu.edu by Friday, August 15th.
