July 30: ACP Job Camp Part 1 Panels

Posted on

We are pleased to invite you to the Academic Careers Program’s annual Job Camp, an event for members of the NYU Law community who are on (or interested in) the law teaching market. Job Camp takes place in two parts. Part 1 will take place next Tuesday, July 30, including two midday panels open to all NYU Law students, graduates, and affiliates who are interested in learning more about legal academia.

The schedule for the panels is as follows:
12:00 pm – Navigating the Hiring Market, with Professors Diana Reddy (UC Berkeley), Brandon Johnson (University of Nebraska), and Aniket Kesari (Fordham)
1:00 pm – What Makes a Good Job Talk, with Professor Erin Murphy (NYU)

Please register here to receive the Zoom link for both panels.

Part 2 of Job Camp, which takes place on Monday, September 9, will include mock job talks by NYU alums and affiliates with discussions led by faculty members. Attending some of these talks is an excellent way to support our current candidates and to learn more about the job talk portion of the entry-level hiring process. We will share the schedule for the job talks in a few weeks, but for now, please note the date.
