It can be difficult to decide whether to participate in private sector recruiting if you are planning, or considering, a public interest career, and that decision comes extremely early in law school. This session aims to give advice and perspective to students primarily interested in a career in public interest about the pros and cons of summering at a firm. In addition to general advice, we will discuss whether a law firm summer hurts or helps for a career in public defense, prosecution, government, international public interest, direct services, impact litigation and public interest law firms.
Light lunch will be served.
Date: Friday, October 16
Time: 1:15 pm
Location: FH 216
