Apply for the Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Center’s (BWLC) Fellows Program! The application will open the morning of August 28, 2026, and close on September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The cohort will be selected in early November. The program is open to all 1L JD students at NYU Law. We invite interested students to visit the BWLC table at the Student Resources Fair on September 8, 1:00-2:30 PM and our Info Session on September 14 at 5:00-6:00 p.m.
The BWLC Fellows Program is a co-curricular leadership development opportunity. Students apply and are selected in the fall of their 1L year and participate in programming throughout their time at NYU Law, beginning with the Sara Moss Women’s Leadership Training Program, a rigorous week-long program for 1L Fellows that combines self-assessment, instruction, experiential learning, team-building, coaching, and mentoring. Each Fellow will receive a one-time stipend of $2,500. The 2027 Sara Moss Women’s Leadership Training Program is scheduled to take place January 11-15, 2025, before classes resume for the Spring semester.
We welcome applications from any first-year JD student at NYU Law seeking leadership training. Students of all gender identities and expressions (including but not limited to cisgender, transgender, nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and/or genderqueer) are encouraged to apply. Students who have not previously had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills are encouraged to apply.
