The Accessibility Support team in the Office of Academic Services ensures equal access to educational opportunities by coordinating academic accommodations authorized by the Moses Center for Accessibility and Inclusive Culture (“Moses Center”).
If you require academic accommodations this fall semester, please follow the steps below:
How to Apply for Academic Accommodations
Step 1: Register with the Moses Center
If you have a permanent or temporary disability, contact the Moses Center to request accommodations. Prepare to submit supporting documentation, and begin this process as early as possible – ideally, several weeks before classes begin – to allow sufficient time for review. Note: For pregnancy or parenting-related accommodations, please contact the Office of Student Affairs directly.
Step 2: Notify NYU Law of your accommodations by generating accommodation letters
Once authorized by the Moses Center, log into the Moses Center student portal and generate your accommodation letters for each individual course (you must repeat this process every semester). Letters are automatically routed to the Office of Academic Services.
Important: To protect anonymous grading and administrative protocols, DO NOT email accommodations letters directly to your professors or discuss your accommodations with them.
Step 3: Request Classroom Implementation
For each accommodation in every course, submit a ticket through the Law Registrar’s Service Desk to request implementation. Once submitted, our team will review the request and coordinate the prospective implementation of your accommodations.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please review our Accessibility Support website or contact us at law.acadservices@nyu.edu to schedule an appointment.
