3L 2026 Graduate Employment Survey (OCS/PILC/JCO) – Complete by April 27

As part of the graduation process, we kindly ask all J.D. students in the class of 2026 to complete the Graduate Employment Survey. This brief survey (estimated time: under 15 minutes) collects important data for the American Bar Association (ABA) and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) — both of which play a critical role in supporting legal education and employment outcomes.

Completion of this survey is required in order to receive your tickets to the School of Law’s graduation ceremony. Your participation ensures that your class is accurately represented. Thank you for your time and contribution. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you!

Graduate Employment Survey Tips!

Access the Survey on CSM: Use the direct link above or login to CSM and click the “Graduate Employment Survey” tile on the home page.
Complete all fields to avoid follow-up calls/emails since all data is required by reporting agencies. This should take less than 15 minutes.
- **Note: This includes salary data! Your salary will be kept strictly confidential and reported in aggregate as a class average.
Click “Save” to submit your survey – there is no confirmation page once you submit, but your information will be saved. If your employment status changes after you submit your survey, you should log back into CSM and edit your submission.

What is My Employment Status?

This field evaluates your employment status after graduation.
Do NOT select “Enrolled in graduate studies” unless you will continue to pursue another degree (ex. LLM) after graduating from NYU Law.
Do NOT select “Employed – Start Date Deferred” unless your start date is after March 15, 2027.

Working in Big Law?

If your title is “Law clerk” and will convert to “Associate” upon Bar Admission, please select “Entry-level attorney or associate” under “Law Firm Job Type” INSTEAD OF “Law clerk”.

Clerking for a Judge?

Bar Admission: Select “Bar admission required/anticipated (includes judicial clerks)”.

1-year judicial clerkships are considered long-term (even if they are slightly less than 1 year).
