The NYC Bar Association is now accepting applications for the 2026 C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship. The C. Bainbridge Smith Scholarship Committee provides scholarships to NYC law students who have spent a significant portion of their lives in New York City. Awards are made on the basis of the following criteria:
- Must be a resident of New York City
- Attend one of the following law schools: Brooklyn Law School; Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law; Columbia University School of Law; CUNY School of Law; Fordham University School of Law; New York University School of Law; or St. John’s University School of Law
- Face one or more economic disadvantages (including lack of funds or physical or socio-economic challenges)
Resumes and statements of interest (500 words max.) can be uploaded at the end of the application form. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Awardees can expect to be selected and notified in early March.
