Immediate opening for Faculty Research Position
Prof. Alvarez is looking for a research assistant to start immediately to engage in two tasks: (1) gathering materials for his spring term course on “human rights, sustainable development and international investment law” and (2) engaging in discrete research tasks to assist him in developing a law review article based on his speech on “America First and the International Rule of Law.” Both topics need to be completed within the next two months. The ideal candidate (either a JD or LLM degree or anyone eligible to work for pay (at the usual NYU rates) here as a visiting scholar) should be able to work during the holiday break period and through the first weeks of spring term and possibly beyond into the spring term. Candidates cannot be registered in Prof. Alvarez’s classes in the spring term. The ideal candidate would be able to work for at least 10 hours a week (at NYU standard rates) and have some background in international law, international investment law, and/or US foreign affairs law. Those interested should send a cover letter, CV, and listing of grades received at NYU (if available) directly to Prof. Alvarez (jose.alvarez@nyu.edu) as soon as possible and no later than Dec. 24.
