Paul, Weiss looks forward to hiring for the summer of 2026 Paul, Weiss Center to Combat Hate 1L Fellowship. Ideal candidates for this position will have an interest in public service and can demonstrate that their goals are aligned with the mission of the Paul, Weiss Center to Combat Hate.
To apply, please provide your resume, first semester transcript and a brief personal statement. Your first semester transcript should be complete, with finalized and confirmed grades for all coursework. In your personal statement, please share how you are aligned with the Center’s mission of using impact litigation to fight hate-driven violence and safeguard vulnerable communities.
The 1L Summer Fellow Experience
- The selected 1L summer fellow will work directly with the Paul, Weiss Center to Combat Hate, supervised by attorneys
working with the Center. - As a summer fellow, they will be compensated at the same rate as all Paul, Weiss summer associates ($225,000/year
prorated for the number of weeks worked) and paid directly by the firm. - They will also:
- Share an office with other summer associates and enjoy the same benefits as all summers;
- Be invited to all social events and take part in all summer training and professional development programs;
- Have a partner and associate mentor assigned to them who works directly with the Center; and
- Work with our Pro Bono Department on assignments, subject to availability and giving priority to the Center.
- Feedback on work performed during the summer will be shared via a mid-summer and farewell check-in with an assigned partner mentor.
About the Center
- Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP launched The Center to Combat Hate, dedicated to partnering with civil rights organizations and educational institutions to bring impact litigation to confront and redress hate-driven violence and intimidation.
