Nature of Research: The RA will help the U.S.-Asia Law Institute stay abreast of important legal developments in East Asia. They will draft our weekly web feature, This Week in Asia Law (TWIAL), and maintain a weekly log of trends and pending developments. From time to time the RA may be asked to provide other supports to USALI’s law school programs, including sourcing and translating material for use in the course Law and Society in China.

Can work be done remotely? Yes but periodic in-person check-ins are required.

Qualifications: 2L, 3L, LLM, SJD. Ability to read Chinese is essential.

Approximate Dates of Employment: Sept-December.

Approximate Number of Hours/Week: maximum 10 hours per week during the fall semester with the possibility of continuing in the spring.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Law, the hourly base salary at NYU Law School for student employment positions is $16.50 per hour.
