July 23: ACP Job Camp Panels

Posted on

We are pleased to invite you to the Academic Careers Program’s annual Job Camp, an event for members of the NYU Law community who are on (or interested in) the law teaching market. Job Camp takes place in two parts. Part 1 will take place on Wednesday, July 23, including two panels from 12pm-2pm EST open to all NYU Law students, graduates, and affiliates who are interested in learning more about legal academia.

The schedule for the panels is as follows:

12:00 pm – Navigating the Hiring Market, with Professors Nila Bala (UC Davis), Jack Lienke (University of Connecticut), and Oren Tamir (University of Arizona)
1:00 pm – What Makes a Good Job Talk, with Professor Erin Murphy (NYU)

Here is the Zoom link: https://nyu.zoom.us/j/4729634613?omn=99028981587.

Part 2 of Job Camp, which takes place on Monday, September 8, will include mock job talks by NYU alums and affiliates with discussions led by faculty members. Attending some of these talks is an excellent way to support our current candidates and to learn more about the job talk portion of the entry-level hiring process. We will share the schedule for the job talks in a few weeks, but for now, please note the date.
