Spring 2025 Daily Cycles #1 begins Wednesday, October 9 at 1:30 pm EST. Please make adjustments to your spring 2025 schedule if you so desire. This daily add/drop cycle will run each business day through Wednesday, October 16 at 9:30 am EST. Results will be available each business day at 1:30 pm through October 16.
NOTE: After this October daily add/drop cycle, the next registration cycle will be in January 2025. Please refer to the 2024-2025 registration calendar for additional important dates.
Closed Courses and Clearing Prices:
Remember to check the list of closed classes and their clearing prices on the Clearing Prices for Closed Classes webpage (accessible via the left-sided menu on Using COURSES).
Pre/Co-requisites:
Check the registration calendar for relevant deadlines by when you must be registered for pre/co requisites.
Course Updates and Course Descriptions:
For upper-class students, we’ve had several changes to the course schedule. These have been posted on the website. Remember to regularly check the Course Updates webpage for updated course information, such as new courses, canceled courses, and corrections to the schedule.
Please check the course description pages for information on exams, writing credit options, and how to apply for permission for courses that require permission of the professor.
Option A Writing Credit – students must self-register:
If you are eligible to register for an Option A writing credit, you should bid zero points to add this writing credit to your schedule. Students must be registered for the related seminar in order to register for the Option A writing credit. If you exercised the priority option during Spring 2025 Bidding Cycle #2 in August, this did not enroll you in the Option A writing credit. You must separately add this writing credit.
Option B Writing:
Students electing Option B do not register for the writing credit section. Simply registering for the Option B class is sufficient unless the professor requires permission. See Substantial Writing Requirements for more information.
Registering for Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant Credits:
The Office of Records and Registration will register students for Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant credits based on information submitted by your professor.
Faculty Permission-Only Classes:
Please follow the information stated in the course description regarding enrollment in permission of instructor courses. The professor will provide the Office of Records and Registration with a list of permitted students or the student may submit a permission of instructor form. Once a waiver has been entered on your COURSES record, the Office of Records and Registration will notify you when you are able to register for the class and that you should bid 0 points at that time.
Exams:
Please review the exam information found both in the course descriptions and on the Law School Exams webpage and consider your studies and work conflicts. Students may not request an exam postponement for heavy course loads or work conflicts.
Deadlines:
We strongly encourage students to make registration changes well before the deadline and during business hours to ensure that someone is available to assist you if you encounter technical difficulties. If you require such assistance, please contact your program office.
